Police: Intoxicated Man Tries to Start Bar Fight, Then Crashes Motorcycle

A man attempted to start a fight and then crashed his motorcycle after two North Haven bars refused to serve him because he appeared to be intoxicated, according to police.

The following post is a press release from the North Haven Police Department.

On May 5, 2013 employees of a North Haven bar stopped serving alcohol to a male who appeared to be intoxicated. 

The male argued with bartenders but left the bar at approximately 5:00 p.m. 

He road his motorcycle to a second North Haven bar where employees also refused to serve him. 

He returned to the first bar and started arguing with the bartender. 

He was asking patrons if they wanted to fight.  

Employees once again asked him to leave, but prior to doing so patrons saw he was holding a black revolver handgun. 

When police were called he fled the area operating an orange motorcycle.   

North Haven Police Dispatch put out a broadcast to area agencies and requested they be on the look out for the male who was operating an orange motorcycle. 

A short time later Wallingford Police notified North Haven Police of a crash involving the motor cycle. 

The male was identified and criminal charges are being pursued.
