Failure to Appear

A North Haven man was arrested on April 26 for allegedly failing to appear in court, police said.

James J. Jaekle, 37, was charged with failure to appear and is scheduled to appear in court on May 10. Bond was set at $500.

Criminal Mischief

A Branford man was arrested on April 26 for alleged criminal mischief, police said.

Ralph Sarno, 34, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and is scheduled to appear in court on May 10. Bond was set at $7,500.

Driving Infractions

An East Haven man was arrested on April 28 for allegedly committing multiple driving infractions, police said.

Matthew B. Czernicki, 34, was charged with operating with a suspended license, operating while under the influence and following too close. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 8 and bond was set at $500.

DUI

A Wallingford man was arrested on April 29 for allegedly driving under the influence, police said.

Dakota Meydag, 18, was charged with operation while under the influence and failure to drive right. Bond was set at $500 and Meydag is scheduled to appear in court on May 15.

Larceny

A New Haven man was arrested on April 29 for alleged larceny, police said.

Daniel W. Maher, 27, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and is scheduled to appear in court on May 17.

Unattended Child

A Meriden woman was arrested on April 29 for allegedly leaving her child alone , police said.

Kayla Ann Frost, 19, was charged with leaving a child unattended and is scheduled to appear in court on May 17.

Driving Impaired

A New Haven woman was arrested on May 1 for allegedly operating a vehicle while impaired, police said.

Yecenia Rivera, 37, was charged with failure to drive in the proper lane and driving while impaired. Bond was set at $500 and she is scheduled to appear in court on May 8.

The charge against Kayla Ann Frost has been clarified.
