North Haven police announced Monday morning that a New Haven man has been charged in connection with the June 27 robbery of the on Washington Avenue.
Menelik Smith, age 21, of Judson Avenue, New Haven was charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Larceny 5th Degree.
Police said Smith was located in Hamden Saturday night and was taken into custody, without incident, by members of both Hamden and North Haven Police.
Smith was held on a $250,000 bond and will be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Monday morning.
Smith is also a suspect in an East Providence Rhode Island bank robbery.
