Police: North Haven Business Victim of Phishing Scam

State police report that ATP Corporate Travel in North Haven was the victim of an online phishing scam, with the suspects reportedly fraudulently gaining access to the agency's access codes.

A North Haven business has reportedly has been the victim of scammers fraudulently gaining access to the agency's access codes, according to Connecticut State Police Troop I in Bethany.

North Haven Police, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are investigating the incident — which involved ATP Corporate Travel in North Haven.

According to state police records, ATP officials reported that they were the victim of a phishing scam over the Internet, after the scammers gained the agency's access codes.

The suspect or suspects then purchased $24,922 worth of airline tickets for five individuals who traveled through Europe over the weekend of Jan. 20, according to state police.
