A man believed to have snatched two purses in October has been arrested by North Haven Police.

Giuseppe Angileri, 36, of East Haven was charged yesterday with several counts of larceny and robbery following a nearly month-long investigation by the NHPD into the purse-stealing incidents.

On October 21, Angileri allegedly grabbed a purse from a 77-year-old woman's shoulder in a Washington Avenue parking lot, and then escaped the scene in a white van. Although the victim was not injured during this incident, police later determined that the getaway van was stolen the previous day.
