Speeding Car Turns Up Heroin

Two arrested for drug possession.

A speed enforcement operation on Washington Avenue led to the arrest of two people for narcotics possession, North Haven Police report. 

Last week, Jesse Justin Delucia, 34, of Wallingford, and Charissa Lavelle Breen, 28, of Meriden were pulled over after NHPD Officer Cormier spotted the pair travelling 57 miles-per-hour in a 40 mile-per-hour zone. 

A search of the couple's Honda Civic turned up several varieties of prescription narcotics, empty heroin packets, and a cut straw used to insufflate narcotics.

Both were arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and are scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior court on January 5.  

Breen is currently facing additional charges in Wallingford, where she was arrested on December 1 for a series of motor vehicle offenses.
