Two Arrested on Narcotics Charges

K-9 unit finds drugs in vehicle.

A man and a woman were arrested Thursday on several narcotics charges, North Haven police reported. 

Officer Frank Castiglione pulled over a vehicle after identifying its passenger as Robert Wagner, who at the time had an arrest warrant out for his name.

Following the apprehension, K-9 units alerted police to the presence of half ounce of marijuana packaged for sale, several prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia including a scale and packaging equipment inside the car.

Both Wagner and the car's driver, Alexandrea Castaldi, were arrested and charged.

Wagner was held on a $5,000 bond. Castaldi was released after posting $1,500.

They are scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court.
