Weapon Discovered in NHHS Student's Car

Student will appear in court on March 31.

A NHHS student was arrested Friday after an officer discovered a 7-inch double-bladed knife in his car.

Per a 1992 law, deadly weapons are forbidden on Connecticut campuses, except under very specific circumstances such as administrator-approved firearms safety courses, or if they are in the possession of law enforcement officials performing official duties.

The student, Jared Ouellette, 18, was charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds, a Class D felony, and will appear in court on March 31.
