Curbside Pick-Up Program to Begin April 2

First Selectman announces guidelines for April bulk pick-up program.

First Selectman Mike Freda has announced that a curbside bulk-pickup program for the town of North Haven will begin April 2.

According to a Town Hall announcement, bulk items are defined as: large upholstered items, such as couches, chairs, mattresses, box springs, love seats, sectionals and recliner chairs; appliances, such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges and dish washers; and scrap metals, such as curtain rods, bicycles, metal tables, metalladders, lawn mowers, metal grills, air conditioners, etc.

Wood items, including wooden chairs, tables, bookcases, etc. are not considered bulk items and will be picked up with regular curbside sanitation if first incinerated.

Electronics such as televisions, stereos, computers, copiers, fax machines, etc. must be brought to the Town's Recycling Center (next to the) on Elm Street and will be disposed of free of charge.

“The Town and it's Department of Public Works is committed to providing the best quality of customer service it can given the modified bi-annual bulk collection schedule," Freda commented in the announcement.
