Fasano Named Legislator of the Year by CT Insurance Industry

State Senator praised for support of industry.

State Senator Len Fasano (R-34) was named Legislator of the Year this March in a ceremony held by the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut (PIACT) at the MGM Grand resort at Foxwoods.

“Sen. Fasano’s accomplishments as a senator and his support of important issues to his community and our industry have made him a friend of the association and to the insurance-buying public of Connecticut,” noted Howard Olderman, the dormer president of PIACT.

Fasano, who serves North Haven, Wallingford and East Haven, has recently led legislative efforts to allow children to be employed by family businesses, and to re-assess the approval process for group homes in municipalities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Fasano said, “I really do appreciate this award and I want to thank you for everything you do for the state. Trust is important and people trust you, so it’s my pleasure to get involved and to be part of the conversation and give a voice to my constituents.”

Fasano currently serves as Senate Deputy Minority Leader Pro-Tempore.
