Freda: North Haven Crews Out 'In Full Force' to Clear Town Roads

First Selectman Michael Freda says progress is being made, but estimates it will take town crews "another 2 days to complete the clearing of roads" following the record-breaking blizzard.

The following is the latest blizzard recovery update from the North Haven First Selectman's Office posted on the town's Facebook page Sunday evening.

Per First Selectman Freda. He has met with Governor Malloy to ask about securing additional resources for the Town.

The Governor has stated that it will take the State another 10 days to recover from this storm.

The Selectman has again spent the day out with our Public Works crews. He feels that we have made progress, but there is still a lot work to do. Our crews were out today in full force.

Unfortunately we did experience some delays again today with plows that have become stuck in the snow.

We have cleared many of our secondary roads and cul-de-sacs.

Mr. Freda estimates that the Town will need approximately another 2 days to complete the clearing of roads.

Priorities today also included responding to medical emergencies and residential problems.

We thank you for your patience as we continue to tackle the clean up from this storm.
