Mayor's Office: East Haven Trick-or-Treating to Remain On Wednesday

The East Haven Mayor's Office has confirmed that Halloween trick-or-treating in town will move forward as planned for this Wednesday, Nov. 7.

After deciding to postpone the annual celebration last week due to Hurricane Sandy, the East Haven Mayor's Office has just confirmed that, at this time, Halloween trick-or-treating in town will continue on as planned for this Wednesday, Nov. 7.

With the , expected to impact the area starting mid-day on Wednesday, many residents have expressed some concerns about holding trick-or-treating at that time.

And some have suggested moving the celebration once again, to a time later this week — as the town of Branford decided to do earlier today.

However, the Mayor's Office told East Haven Patch a short time ago that after conferrung with New Haven Mayor John DeStefano, the two towns will continue to hold trick or treating on Wednesday.

East Haven Patch will continue to update this story if any additional developments regarding the trick-or-treating date in East Haven arrise.

Any more news on this??? Come on Mayor Maturo.....why should we have to bring our children to another town to trick or treat????

With this Weather tonight I do not see any Children comming out. So sad. Wish we could all bring our candy up to the High School and High School students can give it out as the Children come in. To late to do it today but maybe eary friday it can be done like 5-8

You people need to look at the big picture here. Your worried about having trick or treat for your kids, tell them it's cancelled and get over it , some of the homes on the shore were washed out to sea and people in other towns ( and States )lost everything they had. Grow up !!!
