Special Selectmen's Meeting to Set Town Meeting for May 31

The Board of Selectmen will hold a special session tonight to discuss plans for a town meeting on May 31.

The North Haven Board of Selectmen will hold a special meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m. in Town Hall to discuss the agenda for an upcoming public hearing and town meeting scheduled for the evening of May 31.

First on tonight's checklist will be signing a call for a public hearing relative to a program to be submitted for approval before the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA), a tax credit program that rewards businesses for making cash contributions to municipal and tax exempt organizations. The public hearing is slated to start at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the library.

Up next, the Board will sign a call for a town meeting, set to follow the public hearing at 7:00 p.m., in order to address, among other things, the approval of the NAA project, the re-appointment of Anthony P. Rescigno as the North Haven representative to the Representative Policy Board of the South Central Connecticut Regional Water District, and the First Selectman's authority to renew a contract with the South Central Regional Emergency Communications System to continue to
provide emergency communication assistance to the Town.
