Busy Week for Town Government

Democratic Town Committee Caucus, Selectmens' meetings, and Board of Education scheduled for this week in North Haven.

Get ready for a string of town meetings this week in North Haven.

Up first on Monday, Planning and Zoning will convene at 7:00 p.m. in the library to discuss litigation and a possible settlement between the Town and Spring Road Development, LLC. The Committee may opt to go into executive session to decide on the matter before moving onto a long list of public hearings. A full agenda for the meeting can be read here

Tuesday, the Democratic Town Committee will hold its annual caucus to endorse candidates for the party at 6:00 p.m. in the recreation center. The North Haven Way speculated last week that former selectman and State Representative Steve Fontana may be considering a run against State Senator Len Fasano in 2012. Could this rumor be confirmed at the meeting?

Wednesday, a covering plans for renovations to four town firehouses, the construction of a public works garage, and the milling and paving of twenty miles of municipal roads. The town will vote to appropriate spending for the projects on January 24.
