Yaccarino to Hold Office Hours, BBQ

The legislator will be taking questions tonight at the Washington Avenue McDonald's.

State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-North Haven) will be holding office hours tonight from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the McDonald's on Washington Avenue.

Residents are asked to come with questions and an appetite; the Rep will be grilling up burgers for attendees outside the restaurant while discussing key state and local issues with his constituents.

First on the agenda will be a recap of the recently ended legislative session, Yaccarino's first. The Representative promises to go over new state laws, and their potential impact on North Haven residents.

Also expect talk concerning the special education staffing controversy. Yaccarino, along with State Senator Len Fasano, drafted a scathing letter to superintendent Robert Cronin early last week following the administator's proposal that special ed staff  be cut across North Haven's public schools.

If you can't make the meeting but still want to ask questions of your State Representative, post them in comments and North Haven Patch will try and get you a response.
