Yaccarino to Recap Legislative Session with Residents

Office hours scheduled for June 20.

State Representative David Yaccarino (R-North Haven) will hold office hours June 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the McDonalds on Washington Avenue.

Yaccarino will discuss the recent legislative session—the freshman Representative's first—and host an outdoor cookout for residents.

"One of my campaign promises was to have a truly open door policy with the people of North Haven," said Yaccarino in May. "When first elected I made creating these opportunities a priority to make sure I met with anyone who wanted to express their concerns, ask a question or just sit and talk regarding the state government and my role as your State Representative."

As always, consituents are asked to bring their questions and concerns to the gathering. Yaccarino will seek to clarify the effects of several new laws passed in the course of the session, including bills protecting citizens against gender discrimination, providing workers with paid sick leave, decriminalizing small quantities of marijuana, and .

Also expect to hear the Representative's take on the state budget, which both he and State Senator Fasano (R-North Haven) have criticized in public statements.
