North Haven Board of Education Adopts New School Bus System

The two-tier system will deliver students to their schools closer to their class start times, and might improve the behavior of middle school students while riding the buses.

According to the New Haven Register, the board adopted a two-tier system designed to deliver secondary school pupils to school closer to their start times and will also save an estimated $60,000.

The Register said the main difference in the new system is to transport middle school students and high school students on the same buses. Officials said other districts that adopted this have seen an improvement in middle school students’ behavior on the buses.
