North Haven Schools Considering Serving Breakfast

The school district is considering serving breakfast at the town's middle and elementary schools.

The North Haven School District is considering serving breakfast at its middle and elementary schools, following what already exists at North Haven High School.

The New Haven Citizen reports that the Board of Education is considering adding a "grab-and-go" breakfast at the schools that would include cereal bars, fruit, juice and bagels. The federal government reportedly has grants available to fund such a program.

“The government is paying us to do this,” Board of Education member Kristine Carling said, according to the newspaper. “There’s no reason not to start this program.”
