Town Offers Scholarship to Prospective Teachers

Elizabeth Doyle Scholarship Fund applications due April 15.

The Town of North Haven will begin accepting applications for the Elizabeth Doyle Scholarship Fund on March 14.

Created to honor a well-respected North Haven educator and resident, the Doyle fund is given every year to a local student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in teacher preparation at an accredited college or university.

While the amount given to students varies from year to year, an application form from 2009 puts the purse at around $1,000, provided by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven.
