Spring Nor'Easter Delivers Much Needed Rain To Connecticut

A summary of the spring Nor'Easter that hit New England on Sunday 4/22/12.

Sunday night and early Monday delivered the much needed rain that our drought striken state had needed.  Conncecticut was over 7" below average and last night cut that deficit almost in half!  At my weather station on Spring Road, I recorded 3.07 inches of rain.  We received the equivalent of a month's worth of rain in one night!  Allergy sufferers (like myself) are also getting some relief today as the rain helped to reduce pollen levels that had been through the roof this spring.

Here are some other totals reported across the state this morning:

Donald in West Haven: 4.19"

Sean in New London: 3.00"

Steve in Torrington: 1.50"

Dan in Moosup: 3.03"

Paul Edward in Killingworth: 2.26"

Mike Lavorgna in Hamden: 3.09"

Zachary Duhaime in Hamden: 3.29"

Bob Reil in Bethany: 2.69"
