Library Programs in Full Swing for June

A special note from the North Haven Library:

Summer is finally here and the library programs are in full bloom.  Check the registration dates below to reserve your space for summer fun.

Please note that most programs are open to North Haven residents and non-residents.  Phone registrations will not be taken prior to 10am.  See program listing for details.  If there is no date listed after the program description, it is not necessary to register.  

Registrations are accepted in person or by phone.  To register or for further information call the library at 203-239-5803. All programs are free and sponsored by the Friends of the Library. 

Library Policy: As a courtesy to others, you must call a staff member in the Children’s Department if your child is registered for a program but cannot attend.  Failure to do so will result in your child being dropped from future programs for 90 days.  No exceptions will be made!  

Summer Reading Club Sign up BEGINS!  

Ride the Dewey Express:
Departure Date: Friday,  June 14th. Open to North Haven residents, children of Town employees, grandchildren of North Haven residents, Executive Board members and Officers of the Friends of the Library. Sign up in person to get on board! Check the website  http://www.northhavenlibrary.net/ for further information.  

Toddler Time
Tuesday, June 18 at 10:30 – 11am. Ages 1½ – 3 (with a parent or caregiver). Join us for songs, fingerplays, a story and a craft.  Registration is required and begins on Friday, June 7 for residents and Friday, June 14 for non-residents.   

The Proof is in the Pudding
Monday, June 24 at 6:30 – 7:30pm. Ages 5 – 7.  Join us as we create old-fashioned icebox parfaits.  They are delicious and simple to make.  This easy, no cook recipe uses layers of vanilla and chocolate pudding, graham crackers, and bananas.  Registration is required and begins on Friday, June 14 for residents and Friday, June 21 for non-residents.  

Barry the Fish with Fingers
Tuesday, June 25 at 10:30 – 11:30am. Ages 3 – 5. Hear the story Barry the Fish with Fingers and then have fun creating a fish using finger paint.  Registration is required and begins on Friday, June 14 for residents and Fri., June 21 for non-residents.  

Something’s Fishy
Wednesday, June 26 at 10:30 – 11am. Ages 2 – 3 (with a parent or caregiver). What’s life like for a goldfish in a bowl?  Learn about these fabulous fish and then create your own goldfish bowl.  Registration is required and begins on Friday, June 14 for residents and Friday, June 21 for non-residents.
