YONA GREGORY JOINS BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR TERRI BRODEUR BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION

Attorney Yona Gregory has joined the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation Board of Directors, a locally Southeast CT based non-profit charitable organization that raises money to find a cure for breast cancer through grants to young, innovative researchers, scientists and doctors.

“I am honored to join the Board of this wonderful organization,” shares Attorney Gregory. “Their continued commitment of donating 100% to breast cancer research is a rare opportunity to direct funds to those who are near to very important discoveries that can change the way we look at and react to cancer.”

Attorney Gregory received her B.S. in 1994 from Connecticut College, and her J.D. in 2004 from University of Connecticut School of Law. A native of New London, Attorney Gregory is currently a member of the New London County Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Attorney Gregory is licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Prior to entering private practice, Gregory served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Peter C. Dorsey, District Court Judge for the District of Connecticut. She also worked as a legal intern for the Hartford based firm O’Connell, Flaherty & Attmore LLC. Since opening her practice in 2005, she has gained valuable experience as a Special Assistant State’s Attorney.

Attorney Gregory complements her legal training with a background in real estate and small business ownership. She has been named “Rising Star” in the category of real estate attorneys by New England Super Lawyers for three years in a row.  Each year, only 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state receive this honor. In November of 2009, the Law Office of Yona Gregory was featured in the Connecticut Law Tribune in an article on diversifying the practice of law.
