Summer Community Service Opportunities Posted

The North Haven Department of Community Sevices and Recreation has issued its summer activities brochure, including information and dates for a range of warm-weather activities.

Summer camp begins Tuesday, July 5 and runs through August 12. The camp is broken up into six weekly sessions, costing $112 for the first week due to the July 4 holiday, and $140 per week for the remainder.

Pool trips for kids will run every Tuesday and Thursday starting July 5 and ending August 11. Kids will be picked up at 12:30 p.m., stay at the pool from 1:15 p.m. t0 2:15 p.m., and be brought home around 2:45 p.m. Each trip costs $5.

A number of special events have also been scheduled throughout the summer. On April 30, North Haven will hold its 18th annual fishing derby, and on June 14, the High School jazz and brass bands will perform on the green at 6:00 p.m.

Finally, two additional dates have been added to the summer-long Music Under the Stars series for a total of nine free outdoor concerts running between June 28 and August 23.
