Quinnipiac River State Park

Flag as Inappropriate

Running northeast from Banton Street in North Haven up to Sleeping Giant State Park, Quinnipiac River State Park is bound on one side by water and CT-15 on the other. Hikers entering at the park's southern tip can follow a concrete pathway along the highway and into an unmarked expanse of forest. While the trail is intermittently marked, the river affords some enjoyable vistas. Hunting is allowed at designated times throughout the year, as evidenced by the littering of shotgun shells found across the park's grounds.
