Broadcast message from North Haven police leads to traffic stop and arrest.
On Tuesday, at 5:24 a.m., Madison Police received a broadcast from the North Haven Police about a possible abduction from North Haven, Madison Police say. Shortly thereafter, Madison Police stopped a vehicle matching the description issued by the North Haven Police, on Route 80 in Madison. "The accused subject was taken into custody without incident," police say. "The victim was located in the vehicle unharmed." Brian K. Johnson, 49, of 818 Rimmon Road in North Haven was arrested and charged with second-degree threatening, second-degree unlawful restraint, weapons in a motor vehicle, and sixth-degree larceny by possession. New Haven man arrested after following woman to work.
A New Haven man was arrested Sunday after allegedly following a woman to her workplace on Universal Drive. According to North Haven police, the victim called 911 and reported that she had been trailed from her home to her job that morning by a man driving a car. After arriving on scene, officers attempted to pull over Anthony Cesario, 41, who then fled southbound on I-91 towards New Haven. Police eventually apprehended him near his home. The CT Department of Justice has records of eight prior convictions for Cesario on charges ranging from assault to the sale of controlled substances. A late-night argument in a Universal Drive bar over Monday's Pittsburgh vs. San Francisco football game escalated to include thrown furniture, a broken TV, and two arrests, North Haven PD report. According to a statement issued by the police department, Brian Hacket, 19, of North Haven was watching the game with John Sackett, 25, of West Haven when the two became involved in a disagreement concerning the action on field. Tempers flared, leading Hacket to throw a bar stool into the air, where it collided with a wall-mounted plasma screen television. Meriden man arrested for sending inappropriate texts to North Haven teenager.

A 44-year-old Meriden man was arrested this week after police traced inappropriate texts sent to a North Haven teenager to his cell phone over the course of a three week investigation. The sixteen-year-old female began receiving lewd images from an unknown source in November of this year, including shots of the sender's genitals. Police discovered that the pictures originated from Jose Colon's phone, and charged him with three counts of obscenity, three counts of harassment second degree, and three counts of disorderly conduct. Colon was released after being ordered not to contact the victim in the future.

A speed enforcement operation on Washington Avenue led to the arrest of two people for narcotics possession, North Haven Police report. Last week, Jesse Justin Delucia, 34, of Wallingford, and Charissa Lavelle Breen, 28, of Meriden were pulled over after NHPD Officer Cormier spotted the pair travelling 57 miles-per-hour in a 40 mile-per-hour zone. A search of the couple's Honda Civic turned up several varieties of prescription narcotics, empty heroin packets, and a cut straw used to insufflate narcotics. Both were arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and are scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior court on January 5. Stephen Cacioli, 65, of North Haven will appear in Meriden Superior Court on December 27 to face charges that he stole nearly $100,000 from condominium associations in Meriden and West Haven. According to Cacioli's arrest warrant, dated November 18, 2011, the defendant opened a TD Bank account under the name of Sterling Village Associations—a Meriden-based condo association he was contracted to manage insurance claims for—without the knowledge or authority of his employer. Cacioli subsequently deposited two insurance payments intended for Sterling Village into the fraudulent bank account, and withdrew the funds at intervals between April and July 2011 for personal use. Police intervened after a knife was pulled during an argument outside the eatery.
North Haven Police arrested three this week after an altercation outside Vic's Cafe at 244 Quinnipiac Avenue took a turn for the dangerous. During a dispute between three customers, one of the participants, Jasmine Atkinson, 22, took out a large knife and threatened John Sayles, 38, who at the time was arguing with Atkinson's friend, Dasha Pittman, 27. At the the time the knife was produced, a witness called the police. All three of those involved in the fight were taken into custody without incident. Atkinson was charged with reckless endangerment, carrying a dangerous weapon, and breach of peace. She is scheduled for court in Meriden on December 8. Pittman and Sayles, meanwhile, were charged with breach of peace under family violence…

Two men were arrested in North Haven this Monday in connection to two car break-ins on State Street, and one on Universal Drive. Officer Valdemar Queiroga, following up on a witnesses' report of a yellow pickup truck being driven away from one of the break-ins, arrested Robert Hastings, 34, of North Haven, and Wilfredo Rivera, 33, of New Haven after finding stolen possessions from the three cars and a small quantity of cocaine in the pair's vehicle. Both men were charged with three counts of burglary in the third degree, three counts of larceny in the sixth degree, three counts of criminal mischief, possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rivera and Hastings have several prior criminal convictions in the state.

Suspect taken in without incident.
Today, North Haven Police reported the arrest of Darrelle Anderson, 18, who was taken into custody following an incident at a local group home. According to witnesses, Anderson, who lives at the home, brandished a large knife during a confrontation with staff members, threatening to hurt them. Police located Anderson outside of the home, where he was taken in without a struggle. Anderson was charged with threatening in the second degree, reckless endangerment, and disorderly conduct. He was held on a $1,000 bond.

Following up a report of suspicious activity in Forest Grove Park off Wadsworth Avenue, North Haven police found narcotics in the possession of a local man and woman. While patrolling the area, Officer Castiglione spotted drug paraphernalia in the area around a parked car. Margaret Bissell, 42, and Lorren Mcmillian, 40, the occupants of the vehicle, were questioned at the scene. Responding to the scene, K-9 Zeus and Handler Officer Brennan searched the car, locating several different types of prescription medication and drug paraphernalia inside.
