Police: North Haven Citgo Robbed at Knifepoint

The man jumped over the counter and demanded the store employee give him the money from the register.

On Saturday February 1, 2014 at 10:45 p.m. a man entered the Citco Convenience store, located at 490 Washington Avenue, holding a knife. 

The man jumped over the counter and demanded the store employee give him the money from the register.

The man grabbed the store’s cash and ran towards the front exit. While fleeing, a brief struggle ensued and the store employee sustained a cut to his hand caused by the suspect’s knife. 

The suspect ran to his vehicle that was parked on Bradley Street prior to fleeing north on Washington Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late twenties, approximately 5’7’’ tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black ski mask during the robbery. 

The suspect’s vehicle was described as an older purple Mitsubishi sedan.

Any witnesses to the robbery are asked to call the Investigative Services Division of the North Haven Police Department at 203-239-5321.
